This Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected, used, and shared when you use the Trippi mobile application (the “App”).

- Trip and Financial Data: We collect information you provide about trips, members, and expenses (including amounts, payers, and participants) to facilitate our expense splitting features.
- Location Information: Trippi uses location services to provide real-time tracking for convoy members. We collect location data from your device only when you enable location sharing features. We may collect background location if you explicitly grant permission to track your vehicle while the app is backgrounded.
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the App’s core functionality (e.g., trip management, expense calculation, and location sharing).
- To communicate with you regarding your account, updates, and app-related issues.
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the App’s performance and stability.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Other Users: Information related to trips, user profiles, shared expenses, and location (when sharing is active) is shared with other members of the trips you join.
- Service Providers: We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our App (e.g., database hosting, authentication). These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
4. Advertising and Third-Party Providers
We use third-party services, such as Google AdMob, to display advertisements in our App. These third-party vendors use device identifiers, cookies, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your past usage of our App or other apps and websites.
- Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to serve ads. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their device’s advertising ID and their use of our App.
- Opting Out: You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting your Google device settings or Ad Settings. Depending on your location and device (iOS or Android), you may also use your device settings to reset your advertising ID or opt out of interest-based ads.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. 6. Data Retention and Deletion
We will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information, or if you want to request data deletion, please contact us.
7. Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
